WAPELLA - Julia Marie Toohill, 92, of Wapella died at 6:20 a.m.
Monday (April 3, 2000) at LeRoy Manor Nursing Home, LeRoy.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wapella, the Rev. Robert Hoffmann and the Rev.
Steven Willard officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wapella. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Homes of Hope, Bloomington, or St.
Jude's.
Mrs. Toohill was born July 18, 1907, in Hudson, the daughter of Patrick and Bridget Pyne Phelan. She married Patrick William Toohill on Oct. 10, 1928, in Wapella. He died Jan. 18, 1985.
Survivors include six sons, Edward (Frances) Toohill, Forrest; William (Rita) Toohill, Joseph (Rosemary) Toohill, Frank (Becky) Toohill and John (Janet) Toohill, all of LeRoy; and Patrick (Sue) Toohill, Clinton; four daughters, Teresa Harpenau and Alice Keeley- McCannon, both of Bloomington; Marie (Tom) O'Brien, LeRoy; and Anna Gordon, Heyworth; 51 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
One son, Paul Toohill; one son-in-law; two sisters; four brothers; and one grandson preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wapella; the Altar & Rosary Society of the church; and DeWitt County HEA.

Barry Judge of the County Court of Kane County, in the State of Illinois, the Petition of the undersigned John Phealen respe fully represents that Jeremiah Phealen, late of the County of Kane aforesaid, departed this life at Elgin in said County, on or about the 27th day of November A.D., 1872, leaving no last will and testament as far as petioner knows or believes.
And this Petition further shows that the said Jeremiah Phealen died seized and possessed of Real and Personal Estate existing chiefly of Horses and Wagon all of said personal estate being estimated to be worth about Tow Hundred ($200.00 dollars). That said deceased left surviving him John Phealen, Patrick Phealen, Brother(s),and Ellen Hollihen Margaret Phealen, Mary Phealen, his sisters, Robert Phealen his father and Mary Phealen his mother as heirs. That your petitioner (being the Brother of said deceased, and believe of the assets by virtue of his right under the Statute therefore pray that you honor will grant Letters of Administrations____? and with securities, as may be approved by your honor.
