WAPELLA (PNS) - James Strange Sr., 56, of Wapella died at 747 last

night (Jan. 11, 1964) at Springfield Memorial Medical Center. he had

been ill.

He was take to Herrington-Calvert Funeral Home.

WAPELLA - The funeral of James T. Strange, 56, a lineman for Illinois

Power Co. in Bloomington, who died Wednesday (Jan. 11, 1984), will be

at 130 p.m. Saturday at Herrington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, the

Rev. Vernon Oakley Officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery,

Clinton.

Visitation will be from6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 4, 1928, in Waynesville, a son a Elmer D. and Leona D.

Winebrinner. He married Evelyn Corwin Jan. 9, 1948, in Clinton. She

survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Samuel P. Strange, Heyworth, and James

T. Strange Jr., Clinton; two brothers, Elmer D. Strange and Donald P.

Strange, both of Clinton; and four grandchildren.

He was a member of Wapella Christian Church; DeWitt Masonic Lodge 84;

Bloomington Consistory; Clinton Council; Goodbrake Chapter Clinton

Commandery; Order of White Shrine; and the Wapella Fire Department. He

was a veteran of World War II and formerly was employed by the L.E.

Myers Contruction Co.

Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the DeWitt County

Cancer Fund.

Mrs. Rilla Prettyman, mother of Mrs. Charles E. Davidson and Mrs. A.

Pollock, passed away in the home of the latter on West Main street, Sunday

night at 930 o'clock following an illness of several months duration

wil hardening of the arteries.

Rilla May Tree was born in Woodstock, Canada, December 30, 1844. She

came to the United States in 1869, where she was married to Robert

Studdyyin. To this union seven children; three girls and four boys,

were born. They survive as follows Mrs. Charles Hohimer of Los Angeles,

Calif., Mrs. Davidson and Mrs. Pollock of Clinton, Jesse B. of Kinderhook,

Ill., Grant A. of Pekin, and James J. and Monford Studdyyin of Toledo,

Ohio.

At the death of her first husband she was again married. her second

marriage taking place at Pekin on July 8, 1894, to Ben Prettyman. He

also preceded her in death. In 1910 the deceased came to Clinton and

since then had made her home with her daughters in this city.

She is also survived by a number of grandchildren and other relatives.

She was a niece of the lete Judge Lambert Tree of Chicago, and also a

distant relative of Marshall Field of Chicago.

Funeral services will be conducted at Pullen's chapel Tuesday afternoon

at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. T.H. Tull, pastor of the M.E. church.

The pall bearers will be Ira Pollockm Ed Pollock, Perry Danels and S.M.

Pollock. Interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery.

GRIDLEY - Ida Mae Reeves, 89, of 202 S. Roosevelt Ave., Bloomington,

formerly of Gridley, died at 1120 a.m. yesterday (July 24, 1991) at

Fairbury Hospital, where she had been a patient the past 40 days.

Her funeral will be at 1030 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church,

El Paso, the Rev. Gene Kane officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's

Cemetery, El Paso.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Froelich Memorial

Home, El Paso, with the rosary recited at 8 p.m.

She was born Jan. 28, 1902, in Gridley Township, daughter of Steven and

Ida O'Hara Fulton. She married Joseph C. Reeves on Oct. 12, 1920, in

El Paso. He died Oct. 2, 1962.

Among survivors are two daughters, Jean Malcom, 104 Harter Lane, Normal,

and Patricia Huette, R.R.2, Forrest; three sons, William J., Mesa, Ariz.;

Leo L., Kirkland, Wash.; and Donald, River Ridge, La.; four sisters,

Mildred Kearney, Meadows; Hortense Giebelhausen, Glendale, Calif.; Helen

Jones, Creve Coeur; and Margaret Giberson, Peoria; 14 grandchildren, and

15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother, one sister, one

grandson and one great-grandchild.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington, former

member of that church in El Paso, and member of the Altar and Rosary

Society of the church. She was also a member of the El Paso VFW Ladies

Auxiliary and was a homemaker.

Memorial may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
